ice it. wrap it up after swelling goes down some. take some Tylenol to releive the pain. keep your foot raised up (if you are sitting in a chair, pull another chair up and put a pillow on it and rest your foot.

ice it. my ankle was double sprained but i couldn’t walk. i’d say ice as much as possible and heat before you play soccer. also invest in an ankle brace for sports

Probably want to either go to the ER tonight or see your Primary Care Provider tomorrow. There are a lot of bones in the foot and ankle area so really an X-Ray is the best way to go. If you are in pain tonight you can 200mg of Motrin (ibuprofen) every 4-6 hrs as needed for pain.

elevate your foot, and put ice on for 20 and then off for 20 a couple of times. With ice, you need a cloth between you and the ice.
Elevate and rest is key.
Remeber RICE?
Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation.
If you don’t, you’ll pay for it later.
good luck!

Ive played competitive soccer for 14 years and have seen plenty of sprained ankles among other injuries. I would say just ice it. Keep it elevated like if your laying down have a pillow or some type of stand under your injured leg so the blood can spread from the area. You definitely want to try icing though.

a bump? The foot is very complex. I recently tore my Achilles Tendon but at first thought it was a bruise heel. You don’t know what’s wrong with it so you need to have it looked at. Period.
NSAID’s like advil should not be taken unnecessarily – go see a doc.

If you didn’t notice anything that feels or sounds like a crunching stick of celery then it’ll probably be better in about a week but still be tender. Just make sure you ice it a lot and if you go to school and play soccer, then go to the athletic trainers for treatment.
