Anyone had this ankle brace/cast before…..?
Well i sprained my ankle a while back and it didnt heal right so i got a shot that re-sprained it a few days back so it could get healed up right this time. I havr it wrapped in an ace bandage as the shot made it swell up and i am on crutches. However monday I can stop using the crutches and I am getting fitted for this ankle brace/aircast which I’ll wear for 3 weeks. http://www.shopaircast.com/media/catalog…
So I was just wondering if anyone has had this or a similiar brace and if it is annoyng or not? Haha ive had braces before but none like this. Thanks!

the link is broken. but I have had an aircast before and they’re not annoying. You might get a little itchy from a sock or something, but it’s not as bad as a regular cast. You can take it off and everything (if you had one like mine) ask the doctor if you’re supposed to wear it overnight or not.

After fracturing my right ankle Jan 9, I was casted Jan. 12 & had crutches, also. I was fitted for a walking boot on Feb. 9 & should be able to walk w/o crutches by Mar. 2. Neither my cast nor boot were annoying. They ensure your bones heal properly, and all it feels like is a bit of pressure & some numbness in your feet from being unable to walk on the injured one.

The aircast brace is 30 year old technology. You need a hinged ankle brace like the ultra ankle that can reduce the impact to your ankle while it’s protected (helping you walk much sooner and with less pain). The hinge will allow you to move your ankle which will help rehabilitate it. ultraankle.com
Good luck
