Basketball Question??????????????????????!!?!?!?!?
ok so i am 16 years old, 5’11 and 143 pounds…
ive been playing basketball for awhile..and i sprained my ankle once BADLY..and just recently i sprained/hurt my shin after i landed from a jump..
now i have basketball class starting from next wednesday..and i dont want to get injured again.
should i get some braces for my shin,…or ankle???
by th way…everytime i play basketball (it doesnt really hurt while im playing) after i twist my ankles once im done playing ball..it kinda hurts …and my shin is still getting recovered (it still hurts a little to jump)
so my question – should i get braces for shin or something?/…(any tips on how to not get injured while playing basketball) ???????????

i tore my ACL a year ago at a game. Injuries are heartbreaking. I feel horrible cuz I should have trained harder, this would have never happened.
The only way to prevent injury is train your body all around.
I wear a brace on my knee and wrap both my ankles now..braces help too but I dont know about your shin..sounds like you should ask your athletic trainer at school.

I feel your pain I busted up both ankles badly several times in my playing days. The main thing that I found that help were exercises to build ankle strength you can find them on the internet somewhere. But the best advice that I can give you is not to think about it if you want to be a good player you have to put it out of your mind. I’m convinced that I was never as good as I could have been and that I kept getting hurt because I was too concerned about injuring myself. Good Luck.

Yes you should definitely get braces for your shin, and whatever else you need. I play highschool varsity basketball, and my teammates have the same problem as you. Their injury isnt as serious (ankle), but they wear the brace to prevent any more injuries.

yeeeeeees…i know exactly how you feel…… but the best thing to do…no matter how it looks is to get a brace for your shin and your ankle
