Do they still make you take your shoes off at the airport?

I have to wear a brace on my right foot, and its a pain to take off and put back on. What is the procedure for that.

They still make you take your shoes off when passing through security check points. I know that they have certain policies when dealing with some with a handicap. If you visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they should have a better description of what you should expect when passing through the security checkpoint.

Depends where you are and where you’re going. If going international, or cross-country, then yes. And you can get a med note from your doctor saying that you have a brace, it’s painful and you have no intentions to be hiding a bomb inside a painful foot.

Here’s a quote from the US Transportation Security Administration: "Passengers will still be required to remove their shoes as part of the screening process, however, persons with disabilities, medical conditions, and prosthetic devices DO NOT have to remove their shoes. Those who keep their shoes on will be subjected to additional screening that includes a visual/physical and explosive trace detection sampling of their footwear while the footwear remains on their feet. "

it depends on the airport when i was going to london from atlanta i ddint but when i was coming home i did.
