Elbow pops on bench press?
Every time I work out on the bench press my elbow pops lowering the weight, and then again while pushing the barbell back up. The day after the workout my elbow always hurts, nothing bad but just really annoying.
I know I do the exercise right, so that’s not it. I got a few joint problems though. So I was wondering if I could purchase an elbow brace to relieve the stress on it. But won’t that kill the purpose of the exercise itself? I mean I’d hate for the brace to take some of my own strength out of the exercise, my muscles won’t grow as fast and I don’t want one arm to be underdevloped compared to the other. And the weird thing is that when I do push-ups my elbow doesn’t pop or hurt…

Probably you have to put less weight or try a different exercise, until your elbow gets better.
The worst thing that can happen is to hurt yourself really bad and you can’t do anything at all.
