I sprained my ankle pretty badly. I’ve been to the doctor, have it in a support and am keeping it elevated.

Do you have any other suggestions for helping it to heal it as quickly as possible?

Many people think ice for the swelling…But I’ve recently had a similar situation happen to me and I was told to use ice for the swelling and heat for ciculatory purposes….switching about every twenty minutes. Believe me its really helps. Keep a positive attitude too. This is only temporary pain, and Good Luck!

The best thing you can do for it, is to THINK it healthy. You’ll be amazed at your recovery.
Peace.

good luck, but it may haunt you for the rest of your life. You might try using an "air-cast" to support your leg and ankle once you are mobile.
They work really well and are not real expensive.

Keep an Ice pack on it for 2 hours then off 2 hours, that helps with the pain and swelling. The healing process will take a while, good luck.

BE PATIENT, follow the doctor’s instructions, and do leg exercises so your other muscles don’t atrophy.

Put your foot in a bowl of cold water, this will keep the swelling down. I did this when i sprained my ankle when i fell out of the bath 4 years ago it took the swelling down. When u are in bed also put a pillow under your foot to keep it elevated whilst in bed. Good luck.
