Taking these together is 'safe' as long as the doses themselves aren't exceeded. Acetaminophen is just paracetamol or Tylenol, naproxen is traded under the name Aleve. The combination works well for many headaches.
The only time Naproxin should be avoided is if the patient has blood pressure problems or problems with gastric irritation.

yea, you can take both even though its best to see a doctor!

you can also call up the pharmacy and they will let you know its safe

however I happen to know its safe because I have been put on this combo before at higher doses as well and it tends to work quite well.

Just make sure he keeps enogugh spacing between taking additional doses... it's ussualy like every 6-8 hours. But those are both on the lower dose so that's good.

Anyways, keep up the ice and elevation but taking these together is fine. Excedrine has both of these ingredients.. well ibuprofen and naproxin are the same type of medications... so yes it's def okay to take them together, :)
