KNEE PAIN (and not only that) – I’m 15 and pretty athletic – what’s wrong?? ?
I’m 15 and a sophomore in hs – been involved in volleyball and track my freshmen year and this year I was on the soccer team.
during the soccer season one game another girl kicked me so that both of my knees twisted. next day i woke up couldn’t get up so i went to doctor. he send me to a massage therapist and i found out i misplaced my hip, both knees and right ankle. he put my hip back in place and gave me a massage for my back and legs. next day i could move again but my knees hurt much. i wore a knee brace on both knees for a while. i still played soccer but cut my playing time to 15-20 min a game cause the pain in the knees was excruciating. season ended and now it’s been 1 1/2 months after the incident.
now whenever i bend my knee for longer than 30 seconds or so i experience pain when i try to straighten it back. takes another minute or so for the pain to go away but still it doesn’t all go away. i have to keep my knees moving or ill have a hard time straightening them. when i sit by the table, car, school i naturally elevate my legs (put them up higher)
what’s the problem? how can i fix it? are there any specific exercises I can do to aid the situation? is there any NATURAL cream or medicine that would help?
i live in the US and sorry I went to a macromuscular therapist not a massage therapist
and also I’ve had problems w/ my muscles and bones for a while now

You could have some ligament and cartilage damage. when i torn my ACL i could never sit in one position very long or i would get really stiff. You should probably see an orthopedic surgeon and in the mean time work on your quad strength. I also took glucosamine up until my last surgery to do some revision work on my cartilage which helped alot. Good luck!

it sounds as if you have pulled a Muscle or a Cartilage, I would go to see the Doctor and ask his Advise or go to see Physiotherapist and they would probably. tell you
I use some very good Cream which I get from a Health Shop and it is called Green Lipped Muscle Cream but mine is for Arthritis in my knee.

Maybe you are from another country or I am misunderstanding.
Massage therapists get 6 months of part time school. They UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES are ever legally allowed to reset a hip much less even diagnose or treat any skeletal problem. They treat superficial soft tissue. That is an illegal and irresponsible thing that was done to you, and probably explains why you are still having pain.
Everything from the referral to the massage therapist to the treatment to the bracing to the being allowed back into the game in your condition was handled wrong.
I am very forgiving of people that practice medicine, but I would press charges against the doc you went to see and the massage therapist. This is a case of gross neglect.
Good luck
