My friend broke her ankle, on crutches? help?
Today my friend fell down and broke her ankle pretty bad. I took her to the ER and she’s on crutches and in a splint but the ER doctor said she needs to see an orthopedist and will probably need a cast for 6 weeks.
Her parents are out of town so she’s staying with me for the next 5 days. Due to some circumstances, she can’t take painpills but she is in so much pain. What can I do to help her with the pain/swelling? I tried to get her to rest but she can’t seem to get comfortable. She also said her foot throbs while standing up. Also should she go to school next week?

Have her put her leg up on some pillows and ice it down real well. That will at least help with the swelling and pain. School probably won’t be doable seeing as she will be miserable with her foot down for so long, and walking a lot more than she would be able to. Hope that helps!

take a aluminum baseball bat and tell her you will be right back, run up behind her and knock her over the head so that she passes out. when she wakes up the next day, surprise her with ice, ibuprofene and water. If she asks what happens, tell her u found her that way.
