i sprained my ankle about a week and a half ago and i still kinda stings when i play vball (jumping running etc) would it help if i got those active ankle braces?

on the ankle brace, it says to put it on with a certain part on the outside of foot.
however, if i do that, my left leg feels awkward since the whole ankle brace is backwards.
