Ways to work out with a possibly sprained ankle?

I have started really trying to get back in to shape, and was doing very well until I hurt my ankle. I couldn’t get a doctors appointment until friday, and i stuck cooped up in my apartment alone until then. I’m so bored and want to work out – especially cardio. Any ideas?
I already have been doing crunches and some pushups but I need some more stuff I can do with my ankle. Thanks!

If you have a possible sprained ankle, it’s important to avoid doing anything to make it worse. You need to wait until you see the doctor. In the meantime you can do upper body exercises that don’t involve your ankle. I have had my share of injuries and I’ve found you are much better off letting them heal completely because otherwise you can reinjure yourself and just make things worse. You can try doing squats, just squat up and down over and over but if it bothers your ankle at all don’t do them. Good luck.
