Knee Support
Please give me some examples, I have arthritis, am only 33 and otherwise flexible and healthy. My knees crack (grind really) up and down stairs. Thanks!

My daughter was diagnosed with RA when she was 17. She runs half marathons (2 per year) today at age 20. She takes theraputic drugs to keep the RA in check and also takes natural juice supplements we distribute as well. I won’t mention them here. Due to her situation with RA, which is much more challenging that yours from what I read, she must warm up her body (all joints) very slowly with methodically stretching her ankles, knees, hips, neck and wrists before taking off on a slow run of 5-6 miles 3 times per week. She also walks on the off days to keep limber. Arthiritis should be managed with a professional doctors guidance so please consult with them before you do any hard core fitness plan.

Since you have arthritis, I won’t venture to give you any advice other than swimming. Swimming is no-impact, so it should help all of your body. I urge you to talk to a physical therapist for some arthritis friendly knee exercises. I don’t want you to make it worse.
